Settings reference
Every setting in PlainSpeak, with a link to the page that explains it in full. Open Settings with the gear at the top right.
Account
| Setting | What it does |

| Provider | The company your AI key comes from: OpenRouter (recommended), Anthropic, OpenAI or Custom (OpenAI-compatible). More |
| API key | Your key from that provider. Stored on your computer. |
| Base URL | Custom provider only: your service's address, without /chat/completions. |
| Licence | Your licence's state and the versions it covers. More |
| Licence key | Your licence key or purchase code. Save key applies it at once. Remove licence takes it off this computer. |
| Check for updates | Looks for a new version now. More |
| Help and docs | Opens these pages. |
| Appearance | System follows Windows; Light and Dark fix it. |
Voices

| Voices | Each voice's name, Sounds like line and optional Rules override. New voice, Duplicate, Reset and Delete manage them; Export and Import back them up. More |
Templates

| Templates | Each template's title, Purpose and Topic prompt, with Duplicate, Reset, Delete and Export. Edits save as you type. More |
Your writing

| Repurpose lens | Posts you rate, separated by ---. Recompose aims at their style. More |
| Your writing baseline | Five or more pieces you wrote before using AI tools. The scan then compares drafts with your writing. More |
Save keeps your changes; Cancel closes without them. Licence changes and template edits apply at once.
The rewrite recipe
Open it with the button beside Rewrite.
